About one thousand guitars

I'm mostly an aspiring bass player even though I've wanted to play guitar for as long as I can remember (almost as long as I've wanted a Porsche 911, but that's another story for another day). Anyway, I built this site because I'm fascinated by how many guitar makers (and guitar models) exist in the world. Industry news is regularly dominated by moves from big name manufacturers, but it seems like I discover a new builder, luthier, or company every day. The "Music" folder in my browser's bookmarks is way too full and one thousand guitars is my way of organizing everything I've discovered so far when looking for cool guitars.

What's in the database

A bunch of guitars (all different types) from a bunch of different makers (big and small). Electric, acoustic, and classical; new and vintage. If I've done things right, there's something here for everybody who digs guitars. Browse by type: electric · acoustic · classical.

Brand agnostic

This is a personal project. I don't really distinguish between established manufacturers and up-and-comers. My goal is to add any guitar I come across to the database so that other people looking for guitars know they exist.
